Who we are: The scooterists in Montgomery are an informal group of riders who enjoy the social aspect of owning a scooter. As you can imagine, its not about status, appearance, or speed. All makes and models of scooter are welcome to participate. We do not have a designated meeting area or weekly meetup. We usually get together because of a phone call or an invite to a movie or a show.

Origin of the name: There is a saying The early bird gets the worm. Comedian Stephen Wright extended it to mean something else with The early bird may get the worm, but the second mouse gets the cheese As new arrivals on the scooter scene, we did not experience the trials of trying to make a reliable daily rider out of a vintage/classic scooter. Since nearly all the scooters that we are ride are the newer Vespa and Stellas, we have the benefit of modern technology hidden in pressed metal frames.
